Are your chiropractic adjustments safe?
Yes! Chiropractors are the only physicians proficient in the art of manipulation. There are many different techniques used depending on the patient and their presenting condition. We also utilize a computerized adjusting instrument, the so that you do not have to be twisted or “cracked” if you prefer.
Do adjustments hurt?
As a rule, no. Sometimes we have to touch the painful area to resolve the problem, but most of the time the treatment does not hurt.
How long will it take to feel better?
It depends on the condition and how long you have had it. Acute pain is usually resolved quickly. Chronic pain takes more time.
Do you treat anything other than the spine?
Extremities such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, toes and feet! We also offer the which is a Class IV warm laser that reduces pain and inflammation by promoting faster tissue healing.
What is the “popping” sound I hear during an adjustment?
Inside the lubricating (synovial) fluid of your joints, there are nitrogen bubbles that are a by product of your body making the synovial fluid. When you distract (open) a joint, it changes the pressure on the bubbles and they pop. Some joints have a lot, and some have little to no bubbles.
